CBS won a lackluster ratings battle Sunday night even as its two-hour “Amazing Race” crossed the finish line as the lowest-rated season finale in the history of the series, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.CBS settled for a 2.3 average rating for the night in the 18-49 demo, narrowly beating Fox (2.1 average), ABC (2.1) and NBC (2.0). CBS had a comfortable margin in total viewers, averaging 10.3 million to 7.8 million for ABC, 6.2 million for NBC and 4.4 million for Fox.At 7 p.m. CBS's "60 Minutes," featuring an exclusive interview with President Obama, hit a 2.3 average in the 18-49 demographic, well ahead of ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" with a 1.7 average and NBC's "Dateline" with a 0.8. Fox’s “American Dad” at 7:30 had a 1.5 average.At 8 p.m. hour one of CBS’s season finale of "Amazing Race" had a mean score of 2.45 in the 18-49 demo, while Fox's "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers" netted a 2.5 and a 2.0, respectively, in the same demographic. ABC's "Extreme Makeover" earned a 2.05 average and hour one of NBC's three-hour "Celebrity Apprentice" had a 1.95.At 9 p.m. Fox’s "Family Guy" reached a 3.2 in the 18-49 demo, paired with "The Cleveland Show" at 9:30, which had a 2.2 in the same demo. ABC's "Desperate Housewives" delivered a strong 2.85 in the 18-49 demo and the finish of "Amazing Race" averaged a 2.55 in the same demo. Right behind those shows was "Celebrity Apprentice" hour two with a 2.4 in the 18-49 demographic.Hour three of "Celebrity Apprentice" topped the 10 p.m. hour with a 2.75 average in the 18-49 demo, while CBS's "CSI: Miami" was steady with a 2.0 and ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" was on its heels with a 1.95.
