'America's Most Wanted' Cut Back to Quarterly Specials




Fox announced today that it is essentially canceling “America’s Most Wanted,” although it will keep it around in scaled-back form by slating four quarterly two-hour specials for the show, Deadline.com reported.Kevin Reilly, Fox entertainment president, said it didn’t make economic sense to keep the show on the network as a regular series, noting that the series has not made money in some time.Reilly said John Walsh, who hosts and produces the show, is talking with other divisions of Fox parent News Corp. about finding a possible place for the series, which is produced by Fox TV Stations.The show has reportedly led to the capture of 1,151 fugitives.
