One of the Judges on 'The Voice' Is Under Fire for Controversial Tweet

One of the judges on NBC’s new hit music competition show “The Voice” has come under fire for a tweet, with an activist group asking the show to demand that the judge apologize, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The judge is country singer Blake Shelton, who is being targeted by GLAAD--the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation--for what the group says is an anti-gay tweet.Shelton allegedly used Twitter to rewrite a line from the Shania Twain song "Any Man of Mine." Shelton tweeted, "Any man that tries Touching my behind He's gonna be a beaten, bleedin', heaving kind of guy..."“GLAAD says that for a judge on one of the most gay-friendly reality shows on television to make a joke to his 300-thousand-plus followers about leaving a gay man ‘beaten, bleeding and heaving’ is completely unacceptable,” the story reports. “The group adds, ‘One has to wonder how Shania feels about seeing her anthem about strong women and female empowerment turned into a violent threat.’"
